Dr Monica Anand is a practicing ophthalmologist associated with Nethradhama Superspeciality Eye Hospital as a consultant since 2014.
She completed her MBBS in the year 2004 from Calcutta National Medical College during which she won the Kalidas Chakraborty Memorial Medal for Ophthalmology. She further did her Masters in Ophthalmology from the prestigious King George Medical College, Lucknow in 2008.
She did her Sir Ratan Tata fellowship in Cataract Micro surgery (Basic and Advanced) from Sankara Nethralaya, Chennai. She was awarded fellowship in Glaucoma from Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences in year 2010.
She was previously Head of Glaucoma, and was also Surgical trainer at Lions NAB Eye Hospital ,Miraj.
Dr Monica Anand is an experienced, skilled doctor in her field of specialization. She is specialized in anterior segment and Cataract surgeries. Her special interest are in Phacoemulsification, Glaucoma surgeries like Trabeculectomy, Glaucoma valve surgeries and iStent surgery.
Dr Monica Anand is a member of KOS, AIOS, UPSOS, Strabismological Society of India and has presented several papers in KOS, AIOS, UPSOS and SSI conferences. She has also written many articles for public awareness in newspapers and has done several radio talks for public awareness. She has also co-authored chapters in Ophthalmology textbooks
