According to the team of specialists, the 8-month-old kid has regained complete vision and is healing well since the surgery. Dr Sri Ganesh explained that the baby had a bilateral posterior polar congenital cataract, a serious ailment. The technique for operating on babies and IOL power was calculated by doing scans under anaesthesia during the surgery and implanting a foldable IOL. The anaesthesia team is critical in such instances, and the team led by Dr Suman Shree was able to anaesthetise the child and monitor all vital data while also maintaining intraocular pressure during the operation.
