Preliminary investigations and Diagnosis
To work closely with the Consultant Ophthalmologist to ensure professional standards are achieved and maintained at all times, for the provision of highest quality hospital optometry services. To facilitate Ophthalmologists in doing the Initial assessment, in order to determine nature and degree of vision problem or eye disease and do refraction for corrective lenses or procedures: various tests to determine visual acuity and perception. This is verified and validated by Ophthalmologist before prescribing glasses and/or drugs. Carry out detailed eye examinations, test patients eyes for sight defects and eye disease using a range of tests and sophisticated equipment.
