Shraddha Eye Care Trust was started with a vision – "Eye care for all with a humane touch". Shraddha has been working as a not-for profit organization since 2003. Shraddha Eye care Trust, a charitable initiative of Nethradhama Hospitals Pvt. Ltd, hospital offering quality eye care services to the under privileged sections of the society. Services at Shraddha Eye Care Trust are being offered as a corporate social responsibility of Nethradhama Hospitals Pvt. Ltd. With the objective of decreasing the burden of blindness, the commitment of the medical professionals of Nethradhama Hospitals to render free services at Shraddha Eye Care Trust has made a change in the lives of thousands of patients towards a clear vision, to see better and in preventing blindness. Shraddha Eye Care Trust regularly conducts 100% FREE eye camps in the rural areas and schools for early identification of treatable and preventable blindness. Cataract eye screening camps are regularly conducted in various rural areas every Monday and Thursday, patients identified for surgery are transported to base Hospital - Shraddha Eye Care trust, for cataract surgeries - operated on Tuesdays and Fridays, and dropped back on Wednesdays and Saturdays. Shraddha Eye Care Trust has a well-organized outpatient department, fully furnished consultation rooms and well equipped Operation Theatres having all the latest and modern ophthalmic equipment’s. Camp patients, pre operatively, are assessed by doctors. Patients are provided with breakfast, lunch and dinner during their stay at Shradhha Eye Care Trust. All patients are provided with mattress for a comfortable rest in the respective male and female wards. Patients undergo free surgeries at the hospital. All patients are discharged by the doctors next day and are transported back. Post-operative follow up checkups are organized by the camp organizer to ensure continuity of care.
Regular Camps are conducted for school children to identify early detection of various eye disorders in the children. Talks are also organized to bring awareness and educate the parents of the children about eye problems.
It is said - 'to be born as a human being is by virute of one's greatness of his previous birth and to be born with good health is also determined by that'. All are not born affluent. Our scriptures say ... "Udarcharithanamthu Vasudevakutumbakam". To the generous, the whole world is one family. So it is our duty to help our lesser privileged brethren who need our care. Friends! “Your helping hand could bring light to someone's life” We welcome all capable persons of the society to take part in this noble cause. The minimum expenditure for one cataract surgery with IOL implantation is about Rs. 1,500 and your contribution of Rs. 1,500 will help give sight for one blind person. Here are some possible areas where your contribution would be used. You can specify a person or organization in whose name you wish to sponsor these services. The funding from the trust and its supporters will cover surgical costs, OT medica¬tion and consumables , running costs, building maintenance and screening camps.
Perpetual Donorship - Food or Surgery can be organised on a specific date every year to commemorate Birthday, Wedding & other Anniversary or any other memorable event dear to the donor year after year. The desired date will be annually intimated well in advance to the donor who will be afforded the opportunity to participate in the food distribution
