Fellowship in Clinical Optometry

Optometric Education:

INTRODUCTION

Optometry is a “Primary Eye Care Science” which covers the examination of human eye, Contact Lens, Orthoptics, Systems required for estimation of errors of refraction, the fitting, manufacturing and supply of optical aid
Optometric must complete four years of graduate education (3years of academics and 1 year of internship) at Indian accredited College or School of Optometry.
Eligibility

  • Candidates who have completed their 2 / 3 years diploma in optometry with 1 year of experience in eye care industry or degree in optometry will be allowed.

  • Contact lens; LVA and Computer vision syndrome
  • Refractive diagnostics and Biometry
  • Glaucoma Diagnostics
  • Pediatric Optometry and Orthoptics

Calendar:

The duration of the course is 6month (in selected field)

Fee

Thirty Thousand per course (Rs. 30,000/-)
Stipend: Rs. 3000/- per month

Leave

Leave can be availed of, only with the written permission from the Medical Superintendent.
For sick leave students have to submit a medical certificate from the authorized officers with their seal and letter head.
No extension of course will be done.

Accommodation

No accommodation will be provided by our institute
Students have to arrange for their own accommodation and transportation.
Only guidance can be provided by the institute.

Code of Conduct

  • The students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner befitting the profession.
  • They should dress formally when attending lectures and when in the clinical areas
  • It is mandatory to wear the white apron with name tag when in the classroom and in the clinical areas
